What are the shipping/ordering deadlines for delivery by Christmas?

Most items are currently being made to order, so I’ll need you to place your order at least two weeks prior to the shipping deadline – that would be December 5th at the latest.  After that, please check with me to make sure I have time to make it and ship it to you.  “In Stock” items need to be ordered 2-days before the shipping deadline.  On December 17th after the Holiday Gift Bazaar at Sugarloaf closes, I’ll update my online inventory with anything I have left in stock, and will be able to ship on the 17-21st with a 1-day notice.

The USPS shipping schedule for Christmas Delivery is:
Ground Advantage   Ship by 12/16 (New England orders ship by 12/18)
Priority Mail               Ship by 12/20
Priority Express         Ship by 12/20 or 12/21 depending on destination

I would rather pick up my purchase from you in person. Is this possible?

Absolutely!  Just choose “Local pickup in 04947” as your shipping option, and either reply to your order notification or send a message to discuss pick-up options.

Is there a way to order online and still pay with cash or check?

Absolutely!  Pay by Check and Pay with Cash are both options available during checkout, just choose whichever you prefer as your payment option.  Please don’t send cash payments through the mail though!  If you want to pay by a money transfer app please get in touch to discuss the options, then click either Check or Cash payment so you aren’t prompted for credit card information.

When will I receive a tracking number?

I’ll send the USPS tracking number within a day or so after shipment.  First class shipments within Maine typically take 1-2 days, greater New England takes 2-3 days and it generally takes 3-5 days for the rest of the continental US.  If you are anxious to receive one, please respond to your order confirmation and let me know.  I am a one-woman show, and sometimes the task of sending tracking information gets forgotten once the USPS receipt goes into my wallet.

If an item I want is on backorder, or is made to order, how long will it take to make and ship?

Backordered and made-to-order items can take 2-3 weeks to ship.  Depending on the complexity of the piece, I may be able to speed up that timeline, so if you need delivery by a specific date, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and let me know when you would need it.  I always do my best to make it happen, and if I can’t, I’ll let you know what the timeline would be.

What should I do if my jewelry needs to be repaired, or if I would like it refinished?

Carrabassett Valley Jewelry stands behind all items sold and offers free repairs within 7 years of purchase if item was damaged through the course of normal wear. All other repair work will be assessed and the cost will be estimated before the work is completed.

Through the course of everyday wear sterling silver may become scratched and dull, or the oxidized darker areas may become lighter. If you would like to see it shine like the day you bought or received it, we would be happy to polish it again for you at no extra charge. Please follow the return shipping instructions below. Carrabassett Valley Jewelry will return the item to you after refinishing at no extra charge.

**An earring that had been lost in a driveway was found months later, bent, scratched and dented. It was able to be restored to near original condition with very little work…anything may be possible!

What is your return policy?

Carrabassett Valley Jewelry strives to create jewelry that you will treasure always. However, if for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return the item(s) within 30 days of purchase. The item must be returned in unworn condition (there should be no visible signs of wear on the item) in order to be eligible for a full refund or exchange. Items that have been altered or damaged in any way may not be returned. Any items returned after 30 days from purchase will be subject to a $20 restocking fee.

If you are the purchaser, you may either receive a full refund, or exchange it for store credit equal to the purchase price.

If you received the item as a gift, you may exchange it for store credit equal to the purchase price.

Any personalized or custom items may be returned on a case by case basis, and only if in unworn condition, and may be subject to a restocking fee.

You are responsible for return shipping costs. In order to ensure safe delivery, I recommend placing item in a sturdy jewelry box and packing it securely in a bubble mailer envelope. Please insure returned items for the full retail value and ship via USPS to:
